As the sun sets on the final day of this mission to Kapsabet, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions. The past few weeks have been a transformative journey, and my passion for this place is only exceeded by my love for its people. The Nandi people have welcomed me with open arms, their hospitality and appreciation overflowing in every encounter. It has been a profound experience to witness the message of Christ resonating so deeply in the hearts and lives of the people here.
Reflecting on my time in Kapsabet, I am humbled by the privilege of serving the parish of St. Barnabas Pro Cathedral. The faith and devotion of the community have been awe-inspiring. I have seen the love of Christ embodied in the selfless acts of kindness and the unwavering support they extend to one another. The spiritual bond we share as brothers and sisters in Christ transcends borders and cultures, reminding me of the unity and strength of the global church.
Throughout this journey, I have gained profound insights into Kenyan culture and traditions. The rich history of Kapsabet, with its prominent leaders and its role as an educational and sporting hub, has deepened my appreciation for this town. The lush green landscapes, rolling hills, and tea plantations that surround Kapsabet are a testament to the beauty of God's creation and serve as a gentle reminder of His providence.
To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ in the Kapsabet Diocese, I pray that the grace and love of God will continue to hold you and fill you in the days to come. May the spirit of unity and faith that I have witnessed here flourish and bring about lasting transformation in your lives and the lives of those around you. Though our physical paths may diverge, the spiritual connection we have forged will remain, and I eagerly anticipate the day when we shall meet again.
As I prepare to leave this cherished land, I carry with me the memories, lessons, and deep gratitude for the remarkable people of Kapsabet. The love and faith I have encountered here have touched my soul in ways that words cannot fully express. My prayer is that God's light will continue to shine brightly upon this land, its people, and the incredible journey that lies ahead. Amen.
